Look into what it means to eat organically, and locally. When eating out, avoid Styrofoam, plastic cups, plastic straws, and utensils. Instead bring your own reusable! It's easy to find with a quick search online.
Look into ways to save water and energy. Wash laundry in large loads on cold cycles. Run the dishwasher only when full. Look into natural hygienic products, and biodegradable cleaning tools.
Know what you're buying! Buy in bulk, know what's recyclable, and avoid environmentally damaging packaging. Be sure to check out if the products you eat and buy are also sustainably made. It's not hard to find!
